Lance Hagenbuch
Director, Program Management
Mr. Hagenbuch joined SolarReserve following an eleven year career at the Boeing Company. His energy background includes four years of experience leading business plan activities for Boeing Energy Systems, where he was part of the team that led to the establishment of this new business within Boeing-Rocketdyne. With a focus on leveraging rocket engine technology to make solar power affordable and burn fossil fuels more cleanly and efficiently, Mr. Hagenbuch was responsible for leading the financial analysis, teaming agreement negotiations, and securing investment for new products. In addition to SolarReserve's Power Tower product, these included advanced gas turbine combustors, more efficient gasifiers for coal gasification, and a new process for large scale hydrogen production. During his time at Boeing, Mr. Hagenbuch also served as Deputy Program Manager for the A160 Hummingbird Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) which established a number of performance records for rotorcraft UAS performance. He also brings a background in intellectual property protection and licensing.
Mr. Hagenbuch also served eight years in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer flying the E-2C Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning aircraft. While in the Navy, he served in Desert Storm and was awarded two Air Medals. Mr. Hagenbuch earned a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MBA from the University of Rochester.
